The Preventor9 S joins the esteemed collection of Hanhart, a pioneering manufacturer of pilot’s watches nestled in Germany’s Black Forest. Limited to just 100 pieces in 2024, this watch is encased in a robust black PVD and features a distinctive small second display at 9 o’clock, making it the quintessential companion for any adventure.
Drawing inspiration from a classic Hanhart model of the 1950s, the Preventor9 S boasts a notable design element—the small second at 9 o’clock, a hallmark of its historical predecessors. The watch is devoid of a center second and a stop minute at 3 o’clock, focusing the user’s attention on the small second instead. This model also revisits the traditional railway minute track, enhancing its vintage aesthetic.
The “S” in its name stands for “schwarz” (black), emphasized by the large pilot’s crown adorned with the Hanhart logo for optimal operation. Each piece features a case back engraved with a unique serial number and the iconic Hanhart “h”. The convex, internally anti-reflective sapphire crystal is highly resistant to scratches and, coupled with a water resistance of up to 10 bar (10 ATM), prepares the Preventor9 S for any challenge. Inside, the watch is powered by the reliable SW 200 automatic movement, modified by the renowned Swiss refiner Dubois Dépraz to position the small second at 9 o’clock and offers a power reserve of at least 38 hours.
The strap of the Preventor9 S is crafted from black calfskin with contrasting white stitching and an Alcantara interior for immediate comfort. A black PVD-coated pin buckle ensures the watch remains securely on the wrist.
