KANDY SPORT depicts the athletic art of transformation: square becomes round, dark becomes light. To experience the transition from rectangular to round symbolizes the adaptability and creativity inherent in every Alexander Shorokhoff creation, including the striking Kandy Sport.
Through innovative design, Alexander gives the impression a round dial hidden within the black frame of the rectangular case, to form a perfect symbiosis. The black dial, with inlays of orange and blue mother-of-pearl, is almost a trompe l’oeil, creating the impression of depth. While the ring of light blue mother-of-pearl offers a clear and sporty division, the orange mother-of-pearl ring presents an interesting, highly creative, avantgarde representation of the hours. For instance, the number four is depicted in four-segmented triangle, and the number eight is expressed in Roman numerals. There’s truly much to discover. The fanciful hour and minute hands are generously coated with white luminescent material for clear legibility even in the dark, which also contrast with the orange second hand, emphasizing the sporty aesthetic.
The rectangular stainless steel case, coated in black PVD, features side cutouts filled with orange enamel to embody modernity and dynamism. Equally unique is the case back, which showcases four small round view ports, in three different avantgarde colours – red, yellow, and blue. With dimensions of 41 x 41mm, it makes a bold statement on any wrist. The timepiece is powered by a high-quality Swiss automatic movement with a hand-engraved and refined rotor, blued screws, and 21 jewels. It boasts a power reserve of approximately 47 hours.
The extra-soft black calfskin leather strap, complete with an engraved solid stainless steel buckle and Shorokhoff’s stylish, metallic QR logo emblem, further underscores the sporty orientation of the model.
