Alexander Shorokhoff’s GLOCKER (translation: Bell) features eight mother-of-pearl sectors, positioned in the third quadrant of the dial, that represent the colour coded alarm range. Graduating from dark blue to light ivory the segments indicate the time of day related to your alarm time. For example, if the hour hand is located at 5:30 am, the alarm moves in the nightly dark blue sector. The colour gradient changes little by little, until the daylight indication starts around 9:30 am with a bright white mother-of-pearl sector.
The various colours facilitate the setting of the alarm and the whimsical black & white striped alarm hand helps to identify the point of the alarm time. During the night, luminescent hour markers and the luminescent hour and minute hands enable legibility at a glance.
This charming piece is built upon the tried and tested 2612.Poljot alarm movement, which is based on the renowned Swiss AS1475 movement built by A. Schild. It is robust and reliable. The base movement is completely revised at the watch manufacturer to adhere to Alexander-Shorokhoff’s high in-house quality standards.
Although visually very appealing, perhaps the most intriguing aspect of this piece is its mechanical alarm. The sound is long and sonar and can hardly be ignored. Due to the extra-thin soundboard, the peel is clean and clear, living up to its name “Glocker” (The bell). This model is worldwide limited to 100 pieces per dial.
