To facilitate legibility, the dial of this exceptional watch is divided in two functional sectors. The upper part shows the minutes set against a striking sub dial and the lower part shows the seconds in a smaller sub dial located at 6 o’clock. A small window at 12 o’clock displays the hour which ‘jumps’ upon the 60 second mark in a definite and clear fashion.
The Dubois Dupraz base movement is very complex, consisting of many fine mechanical parts and gears which interconnect to enable the hours to jump discretely on the hour. The rotor is hand-engraved and gold-plated for added appeal and can be admired through the generous sapphire crystal exhibition case back.
