Product Description
TEFNUT – White Gold: MG-000433
The subtle elegance of Mortis Grossmann’s TEFNUT collection holds well against all the big brands in terms of design and functionality. Its personality reinforces the fact that horological class is as much about design as it is optimal performance. Exquisitely cambered gold hour markers, convex numerals at the 6 and 12 o‘clock positions, two manually crafted hands conceived explicitly for this watch family, and a slender 39mm solid white gold case are defining elements of this timepiece but the true beauty of TEFNUT lies under its dial.
Moritz Grossmann’s in house 102.0 calibre presents a totally reimagined mechanical heart for the TEFNUT collection. The remarkably thin movement exhibits all of the typical Grossmann hallmarks, yet is absolutely unique in its symmetrical architecture. This is immediately visible with a glance at the modified cut of the 3/5 plate.
TEFNUT is a timepiece of rare character for it is not only easy on the eye but also exceptionally comfortable to wear, thanks to its reduced case size and highly functional.
Special features of TEFNUT include:
THE CASE
The 39mm case of the TEFNUT is crafted from noble rose or white gold. Given the extra-flat design of the movement, the silhouette of the case is exceptionally slim. Thus, the watch gently hugs the wrist for optimal comfort. Its sleek elegance is underscored by the fluted crown, four gracefully tapered lugs, and a hand-stitched alligator leather strap.
The slightly cambered sapphire-crystal glass and case back merge seamlessly with the minimalist front and back of the TEFNUT. They protect the filigreed components and provide an unobstructed view of the distinctive details of the watch dial and movement.
THE DIAL
Subtle elegance meets premeditated innovation. This philosophy is self-evident in the clearly structured, two-part dial and in its interaction with the hands that were specially created for this model.
The face combines modern form with classic design: slightly domed hour markers encircle the charcoal dial that is punctuated by crisp Arabic numerals at the 6 and 12 o‘clock positions and delineated with stripes at the centre.
THE HANDS
The lucid shape and finesse of TEFNUT’s hands are truly impressive. Each hand is meticulously, manually crafted from steel or stainless steel in a sequence of steps.
A node that tapers toward the eye of the hand and narrows to a fine point at the tip characterises the shape that was developed especially for the TEFNUT. It assures that the time is always accurately readable.
THE BUTTERFLY CLASP
The carefully hand-stitched alligator strap is secured with an optional butterfly clasp that makes the watch easy to put on and take off as well as adding an element of security when taking the watch on/off. Each clasp is made of gold to match the case and features a dependable pushbutton safety catch.
