MORITZ GROSSMANN Corner Stone White Gold White Grand-feu Enamel Dial
Model: MG-002142 – Limited Edition 25 pieces
Mortiz Grossmann’s stunning Corner Stone collection is a tribute to classic watchmaking and timeless 1920’s chic.
The perfectly proportioned rectangular case and clearly defined dial are set off by elegant, heat-annealed hands and a subtle small second sub-dial, positioned in the lower part of the dial.
The flat case of the Corner Stone with its integrated curved lugs, ensures each timepiece nestles perfectly on the wrist for optimal comfort and wearability.
The 102.3 in-house calibre was specially designed for the rectangular movement shape. With a small second scale at 6.00 o’clock and a central hour and minute display, engraved bridges, a decorated base plate, and flame-blued screws this watch is as striking inside as it is on the outside.
The Calibre 102.3 was developed by the skilled watchmakers at Moritz Grossmann with the goal of optimising space and performance within the rectangular movement shape. It has resulted in a movement with a relatively large barrel thus allowing a significantly longer power reserve of 60 hours to be achieved. The characteristic stop-second function is also revised to fit into the rectangular movement. The kinetic energy of the angle lever is transmitted via a coupling rod, whereby the balance is gently halted by means of the stop-spring so it comes to a precise standstill for maximum efficiency and better time-keeping.
The collection is available with different dial finishes, in either solid white or rose cases as well as two beautiful Limited Editions featuring Grand Feu enamel dials. The collection is elegant and each piece conveys a strong statement of individuality and style.
This special limited edition combines many elements of premium watchmaking; solid white gold case, pristine white Grand Feu enamel dial, classic circular small second display, Glashuette-style oversized numerals and elegant, brown/violet coloured hand-annealed hands. The finish is so superb, the calibre of the in-house movement so precise and the aesthetic so dignified that it must be seen to be appreciated in its entirety. A refined and impressive work of Grand Horology!
