The concept of the UNO 24 one-hand watch from Botta-Design is still unique. No other watch manages to present the passing of the day at a glance in such an intuitive way as it does. The newly-developed dial design in the UNO 24 NEO perfects this display principle. The stainless steel case of the “Black Edition” features an extremely resistant black PVD coating which gives the watch a refined semi-gloss look.
The 15 percent longer hand in the NEO version makes optimum use of the dial’s diameter to achieve even higher resolution.
We applied the latest findings of perception research to the dark-coloured version – it has been found that the human eye reacts with particular sensitivity to the colour green in low light conditions.
The striking green quadrants therefore make it easier to tell the time when there is little ambient light. This is also facilitated by the hand, which is made of finely brushed stainless steel. It absorbs the ambient light and reflects it back at high contrast to the wearer.
The watch case: architectural clarity right down to the tiniest detail
The stainless steel case of the UNO 24 one-hand watch from Botta-Design has been designed to look as flat and inconspicuous as possible. Thanks to the clever use of sloping edges, it appears to be merely a flat disc on the wearer’s wrist. With its integrated lugs, the watchstrap is discreetly attached beneath the housing to save space.
The entire watch case features an entirely functional design yet gives the impression of a sculpture that you will want to admire from every angle. All UNO 24 models are fitted with flat sapphire glass.
To reduce reflection and improve readability, the UNO 24 – like all Botta watches – is equipped with scratchproof coating on both sides. This high-tech surface treatment, familiar from high-quality optical lenses, transforms hard reflections into a transparent bluish shimmer, lending the entire watch an elegant and high grade feel.
The movement: high-quality, accurate and absolutely reliable.
The UNO 24 models are driven by a Swiss-made Ronda quartz movement. Unlike the much cheaper “Swiss-parts” movements, the components in this movement are manufactured and assembled entirely in Switzerland.
The original Ronda movement ensures that the UNO 24 will run smoothly and precisely for many years, which reflects the Botta principle of technical and design durability in its German-made watches.
