The new form of time display – with astronomical logic
Behind the extraordinary time display of the UNO 24 lies a logic that is as simple as it is convincing.
An earth day has 24 hours – just like the UNO 24 Automatic. Just as a day is divided into a day and a night half, the dial of our all-day watch is also divided into a light and a dark half. The movement of the hour hand corresponds exactly to the movement of the sun: in the morning it is on the horizon, at noon it is at the top, in the evening it is on the horizon again and at night it is at the bottom. When passing the fine date line at midnight, the date display also changes and the new day begins.
We at BOTTA call this type of natural time display “sun-synchronous”. The three-dimensional dial of the UNO 24 immediately catches the eye with its fine details. The quadrants at 0 – 6 – 12 and 18 o’clock in contrasting colours simplify spontaneous orientation. The elaborate solo hour hand, paired with the precise 24-hour scale and the 10-minute markers, ensures that the time is surprisingly easy to read.

The UNO 24+ models are driven by a Swiss-made Ronda quartz movement. Unlike the much cheaper “Swiss-parts” movements, the components in this movement are manufactured and assembled entirely in Switzerland.
The original Ronda movement ensures that the UNO 24+ will run smoothly and precisely for many years, which reflects the Botta principle of technical and design durability in its German-made watches.
