The New Planet collection is inspired by Alexander Shorokhoff’s desire to acknowledge modernisation and restoration in his watch design. It embodies his commitment to reinvent himself and keep his wrist art alive and relevant.
To maintain consistency with the Avantguarde collection, the large, retro-style “60” is retained, however, every other numeral is altered and designed in a modern and autonomous way. Even the background of the dial impresses with its elegantly guilloched basket-weave pattern.
The hands are less elaborate than typical Shorokhoff watches and feature a luminous centre for legibility in dimly lit environments. Contrasting hands on the sub dials are the only hint of whimsy in the design of this otherwise elegant timepiece that tips its hat to modernism in all its simplicity.
The “New Planet” can be ordered in four different dial colors and, as an option, more elaborate hand shapes can be added upon request.
